How does BYOK (bring your own key) work?
Every plan lets you plug in your own API key — Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, even local Ollama or self-hosted inference. Conversations routed through your key don't count against any subscription quota; you pay your provider directly.
Then what's the subscription quota for?
The quota gives you managed model access out of the box, so you don't have to configure keys to get started. Spill over onto your own key whenever you want — both paths work in parallel.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of the current billing cycle.
How does team billing work?
Billed per member with a shared subscription quota pool. Members can also configure personal API keys — usage through a personal key never hits the team pool.
How is data security handled?
All traffic is TLS-encrypted. With BYOK, API keys stay in your local keychain and never touch XClaw servers. Enterprise plans support private deployment and custom retention policies.
